CAN/CSA-C22.2 NO. 61058-1-2:17 standard is a harmonized standard developed by CSA Group and UL. It is the first edition of this standard, based on the first edition of IEC Publication 61058-1-2.

The standard specifies the requirements for electronic switching devices used in appliances. It is to be used in conjunction with the general requirements specified in IEC 61058-1. The scope of the standard is applicable to all electronic switches and notes that additional requirements for specific types of switches can be found in the relevant part 2 of IEC 61058.
