The CAN/CSA-C22.2 NO. 4248.12-18 standard is a harmonized standard developed by ANCE, CSA Group, and UL. This second edition supersedes the previous edition published in 2007. The standard has been developed in compliance with the requirements of the Standards Council of Canada and has been published as a National Standard of Canada by CSA Group.

The standard is intended to be read together with the Standard for Fuseholders - Part 1: General Requirements. The numbering of clauses in Part 12 corresponds to like-numbered clauses in Part 1. The requirements of Part 1 apply unless modified by Part 12. For clauses not specifically addressed in Part 12, reference should be made to the Standard for Fuseholders - Part 1: General Requirements.

The scope of the standard covers fuseholders intended for use with Class R Fuses as described in the NMX-J-009/248/12-2000-ANCE, CSA C22.2 No. 248.12, UL 248-12 standard for Low-Voltage Fuses - Part 12: Class R Fuses.
