Fuseholders - Part 9: Class K

The CAN/CSA-C22.2 NO. 4248.9-07 (R2021) standard, also known as Fuseholders - Part 9: Class K, is a common standard recognized by ANCE, CSA, and UL. It is the first edition of NMX-J-009/4248/9-ANCE, CSA C22.2 No. 4248.9, and UL 4248-9.
The scope of this standard is to define the requirements for fuseholders intended for use with Class K Fuses as described in NMX-J-009/248/9-2000-ANCE, CSA C22.2 No. 248.9, and UL 248-9. These fuseholders are designed for low-voltage applications.
The standard ensures that the fuseholders meet certain safety and performance criteria in order to properly accommodate and protect the Class K Fuses. This includes criteria related to electrical and mechanical characteristics, temperature rise, endurance, thermal limitations, and constructional requirements.
