IEC 62275:2018 is a standard that provides specifications and requirements for cable ties and their associated fixing devices used in electrical installations for the management and support of wiring systems. The standard covers metallic, non-metallic, and composite cable ties.

This third edition of the standard supersedes the previous edition published in 2013 and includes several significant technical changes. Some of these changes include the consideration of adhesive fixing devices, revised and updated normative references, modified definitions for metallic and composite cable ties, and the introduction of new definitions.

Furthermore, this edition of the standard also focuses on improving test procedures and includes new figures that illustrate typical arrangements of test assemblies for fixing devices and integral fixing devices.
