Explosive atmospheres - Part 29-1: Gas detectors - Performance requirements of detectors for flammable gases
Also Known As:
IEC 60079-29-1:2016+AMD1:2020 CSV standard sets forth the requirements for the construction, testing, and performance of equipment used for the detection and measurement of flammable gas or vapour concentrations in explosive atmospheres. This standard applies to portable, transportable, and fixed equipment intended for use in environments with explosive atmospheres and in mines susceptible to firedamp.
The second edition of IEC 60079-29-1, published in 2016 and amended in 2020, is a technical revision that supersedes the first edition of the standard released in 2007. This consolidated version includes the original second edition and its amendment 1, eliminating the need to order separate amendments. It is important to consult the Forward of the document for a detailed list of the changes made between this edition and the previous one.
