Standard ENFR EN FREnvironmental Testing - Part 2-78: Tests - Test Cab: Damp Heat, Steady State
Also Known As:
IEC 60068-2-78:2012 is a standard that defines a test method for evaluating the resistance of components or equipment to high humidity conditions. The purpose of this standard is to assess the effects of continuous exposure to high humidity, at a constant temperature without condensation, on a specimen over a specified period of time.
This standard is applicable to various sizes of equipment or components, regardless of whether they dissipate heat or not. It can be used to evaluate the performance and durability of these specimens during transportation, storage, and operational use under high humidity conditions.
The second edition of this standard, published in 2012, supersedes the first edition from 2001. It includes technical revisions, as well as editorial and format changes. One notable change is the introduction of the test chamber specified in IEC 60068-3-6, which is now used for conducting the test.
