Also Known As:
IEC 60432-2:1999+A1:2005+A2:2012 is a standard that sets out the safety specifications and interchangeability requirements for tungsten halogen lamps used for general lighting purposes. It applies to tungsten halogen lamps that are used as direct replacements for traditional tungsten filament lamps, as well as new tungsten halogen lamps that do not have an equivalent in the previous standard (IEC 60432-1). The standard covers tungsten halogen lamps with a rated wattage of up to and including 250W and a rated voltage between 50V and 250V. The standard also specifies the types of caps (B15d, B22d, E12, E14, E17, E26, E26d, E26/50x39, E27, or E27/51x39) that are allowed for these lamps. This consolidated version includes the second edition of the standard from 1999, as well as its amendment 1 from 2005 and amendment 2 from 2012. It is important to note that this publication should be used in conjunction with IEC 60432-1:1999.
