Standard ENFR EN FRGuide for the Statistical Analysis of Ageing Test Data - Part 1: Methods Based on Mean Values of Normally Distributed Test Results
Also Known As:
IEC 60493-1:2011 is a standard that provides statistical methods for the analysis and evaluation of ageing test data. Specifically, it focuses on methods that are based on the mean values of normally distributed test results. These methods are applicable when certain assumptions are met regarding the mathematical and physical laws followed by the test data. The standard also includes statistical tests to assess the validity of these assumptions.
The standard covers both complete test sets, where all data points are available, and censored test sets, where some data points are missing or censored. It introduces the concept of "data sub-group" for data treatment, as defined in Clause 3. Additionally, the validity of the coefficients used in the calculation processes to derive statistical parameters of the data groups is described in another standard, IEC 60216-1.
This second edition of the standard, published in 2011, replaces the first edition from 1974. It incorporates a complete editorial revision and includes considerations for censored data sub-groups, which were not addressed in the earlier version.
