Standard ENFR EN FRConduit Systems for Cable Management - Part 1: General Requirements
Also Known As:
IEC 61386-1:2008 is a standard that lays out the general requirements for conduit systems used for cable management. This standard covers conduits and conduit fittings, which are used to protect and manage insulated conductors and/or cables in electrical installations or communication systems with voltages up to 1,000 V AC and/or 1,500 V DC. This second edition of the standard supersedes the first edition published in 1996 and its subsequent Amendment 1 in 2000, representing a technical revision.
The changes made in this second edition include modifications to the length of the test specimen between fittings for the tensile test, as well as editorial and normative reference updates. These changes are aimed at ensuring the reliability and safety of conduit systems, with consideration given to technological advancements and industry best practices.
