Standard EN SampleElectrical Installations - Relocatable Premises (Including Caravans and Tents) and Their Site Installations
Also Known As:
AS/NZS 3001:2001 is a standard that establishes guidelines for electrical installations in relocatable premises. These premises are intended to be connected to low-voltage a.c. supply systems, with voltages ranging from 50 V a.c. to 1000 V a.c. The standard covers various types of relocatable premises, including caravans, camper vans, motor homes, camper trailers, livestock or car transporters with accommodation, food and drink vending vans and trailers, mobile classrooms, and walk-through educational display caravans and trailers.
The standard also applies to non-registrable relocatable premises such as relocatable homes, transportable huts, tents for accommodation, and rigid and non-rigid annexes to the premises mentioned above. It also covers temporary site offices, cloakrooms, meeting offices, dormitories, canteens, toilets, and other facilities provided on construction and demolition sites. However, it does not apply to relocatable premises that have a permanently connected electricity supply and are not intended to be relocated, amusement rides or concessions with fixed wiring, relocatable premises without fixed wiring for entertainment purposes, or registrable display units not requiring occupation.
