Standard ENFR EN FRMiniature Fuses - Part 2: Cartridge Fuse-Links
Also Known As:
The IEC 60127-2:2014+A1:2020 standard specifies the requirements for cartridge fuse-links used in miniature fuses with dimensions of either 5 mm x 20 mm or 6.3 mm x 32 mm. These fuse-links are designed to provide protection for electrical appliances, electronic equipment, and component parts indoors. It should be noted that this standard does not apply to cartridge fuse-links used in appliances intended for use in corrosive or explosive atmospheres.
In addition to the requirements specified in IEC 60127-1, this standard defines specific and additional test methods for cartridge fuse-links. The purpose of these test methods is to ensure the reliability and performance of the fuse-links in various conditions. This third edition of the standard supersedes the previous edition published in 2010 and includes four new standard sheets (7 to 10).
It is important to mention that this version of the standard, IEC 60127-2:2014+A1:2020, is a consolidated version that combines the third edition published in 2014 and its amendment 1 from 2020. Therefore, there is no need to order the amendment separately as it is already included in this publication. It is recommended to read this standard in conjunction with IEC 60127-1:2006 for a comprehensive understanding of the requirements.
