IEC 60947-5-2:2007+AMD1:2012 CSV standard pertains to the specifications and requirements for various types of proximity switches. These switches are used to detect the presence of metallic and/or non-metallic objects, sound reflecting objects, or objects with a magnetic field.

The standard focuses on self-contained proximity switches that utilize semiconductor switching elements and are designed to be connected to circuits with a rated voltage of up to 250 V 50 Hz/60 Hz AC or 300 V DC. It should be noted that this standard does not include proximity switches with analog outputs.

The standard also includes some modifications from the previous edition, such as changes to Table 3, modifications to voltage dips and voltage interruptions immunity tests in Table 8, and the change of the status of Annex A as now informative.

It is important to note that this consolidated version of the standard includes both the third edition from 2007 and its amendment 1 from 2012, eliminating the need to order the amendment separately.
