Luminaires - Part 2-22: Particular requirements - Luminaires for emergency lighting
Also Known As:
IEC 60598-2-22:2014+AMD1:2017 is a standard that specifies the requirements for emergency luminaires, which are used with electrical lamps on emergency power supplies up to 1,000 volts. This standard is the fourth edition, replacing the previous edition published in 1997 and subsequent amendments. The current edition includes several technical changes compared to the previous edition, including the addition of definitions, updated requirements for non-replaceable lamps and batteries, improved specifications for charge indication and control gear, enhanced safety requirements, revised photometric testing, updated references to other standards, and minor changes to classifications and figures.
The standard also includes annexes that provide additional information, such as the inclusion of nickel metal hydride batteries and reference to cell types. It is important to note that this standard should be read in conjunction with IEC 60598-1:2014, and the consolidated version of the fourth edition and amendment 1 is available, so there is no need to order the amendment separately.
