Also Known As:
IEC 60598-2-22:1997+AMD1:2002+AMD2:2008 is a standard that specifically addresses the requirements for emergency lighting luminaires. It applies to luminaires that are designed to operate with electrical light sources on emergency power supplies, with a voltage not exceeding 1,000 V.
The standard aims to ensure that emergency lighting luminaires are safe and reliable, providing adequate illumination in the event of a power failure or other emergency scenarios. It sets out specific requirements for various aspects of the luminaires, including construction, electrical and mechanical features, insulation, and performance characteristics.
This standard is a consolidated version that includes the third edition (1997) and its subsequent amendments from 2002 and 2008. Therefore, there is no need to order separate amendments as they are already incorporated into this publication.
